The 3rd annual Power of the Purse was bigger, bolder, and more inspiring than ever!
Guests enjoyed a luncheon filled with fun, fashion, and philanthropy—featuring fabulous purse raffles, exciting door prizes, and an empowering keynote from Dr. Lisa Norman.
Women came together to connect, give back to local literacy initiatives, and make a difference—one purse at a time. We were thrilled to have Dr. Lisa's books available for purchase at the event!

Meet Dr. Lisa Norman, 2025 Keynote Speaker
Dr. Lisa Norman was born and raised in Dalton. A graduate of Wake Forest University and Emory School of Medicine, she is a practicing physician living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with her husband and four children. She values faith and family above all and has a deep love for the arts, especially piano and dance. As a former exchange student in Argentina and Spain, she also has a special appreciation for Hispanic cultures.
Lisa’s love for poetry began in childhood and continues today. Inspired by her own children, she created the ‘Ellie Asks’ book series to teach fundamental virtues like hope, love, and gratitude. While Ellie is based on her oldest daughter, Lisa instills these values in all her children and now shares them with young readers. In a world of social media and outside influences, she emphasizes the power of simple virtues in shaping young hearts and minds.

We were thrilled to unveil our exclusive raffle items! Guests secured their chances to win by purchasing presale raffle tickets in advance. Pre-purchased tickets were available for pickup at the Power of the Purse event. Attendees must be present to win these stunning raffle prizes! Additional tickets were available for purchase at the event, with cash, cards, and checks gladly accepted.
